Pilot-shifted 3-way and 4-way directional cartridges
(models DD*G and DD*C)

Pilot Shifted DirectionalsSun pilot-shifted 3- and 4-way directional valves can be used in hydraulic system circuits requiring directional control of double- and single-acting cylinders, hydraulic motors, brakes and clutches. These cartridges are pilot shifted and may be controlled with any type of adequate hydraulic pilot supply.

These directional valves are available in Series 2, 3 and 4 frame sizes with nominal flow rates of 20 to 80 gpm (75 to 300 L/min). Maximum operating pressures are 5000 psi (350 bar) at all ports.

Sun offers two basic configurations of pilot-operated 3- and 4-way directional valves:

  • Spring-centered 4-way, 3-position directional cartridges
  • Spring-biased 3-way, 2-position directional cartridges
Several spool options are available in each type.

Pilot-shifted 3-way and 4-way proportional directional cartridges (models FT*H and FT*C)

Pilot Shifted DirectionalsSun pilot-shifted 3- and 4-way proportional directional valves offer infinite proportional control where flow requirements are higher than the capacity of direct-operated solenoid versions. They offer the convenience of remote controllability with varying capacities ranging from 7 gpm (28 L/min) to 80 gpm (320 L/min).

These proportional directional valves are available in Series 2, 3 and 4 frame sizes. Maximum operating pressures are 5000 psi (350 bar) at all work ports, and 500 psi (35 bar) at the pilot ports.

Sun offers two basic configurations of pilot-operated 3- and 4-way proportional directional valves:

  • Spring-centered 4-way, 3-position, proportional directional cartridges
  • Spring-centered 3-way, 3-position (selector) proportional directional cartridges with center bleed-down function

Pilot-shifted 2-way normally closed proportional throttle cartridges (models FT*A)

Sun pilot-shifted, 2-way normally closed, dual-path proportional throttle valves offer infinite proportional control where flow requirements are higher than the capacity of direct-operated solenoid versions. They offer the convenience of remote controllability with varying capacities from 15 gpm (60 L/min) to 50 gpm (200 L/min). These proportional directional valves are available in Series 2 and 3 frame sizes. Maximum operating pressures are 5000 psi (350 bar) at all work ports, and 500 psi (35 bar) at the pilot ports.

These proportional throttle valves are available with two options:

  • Stroke adjustment to limit maximum flow (L control)
  • Position switch to provide confirmation that the valve is closed (Z control)
